This past Thursday evening (10/15) was cadet drill night. This week's topics included an introduction to the portable radio, SCBA, and the County Structural Firefighting SOG.
Twice each month the cadets get together to learn about the craft of firefighting. The drill was conducted by NBVFD lieutenant Ryan Ortenzo. Lieutenant Ortenzo, an NBVFD legacy, entered the department as a cadet several years ago and is now giving back to the next generation of volunteers.
