On June 3, 2026, at approximately 2231 hours, Co. 1 and surrounding units responded to the 3800 block of Calvert Avenue for the reported house fire. Engine 12(Lt. George) w/4, Engine 11(FF D Morrison) w/3, Tower 1(FF Baumy) w/4, Pa201(PMIC Martin), Brush 1, Safety 1A(B. Callis) and Chief 1A(A/C Mills) responded. A total of 24 firefighters from Co. 1 responded. Safety 1A arrived on location first to find a two-story split foyer with fire showing from the charlie side.

Safety 1A established command and held throughout. On a 360 of the residence, fire was noted in the lower level and top level of the split foyer on the charlie side. Engine 12 arrived and deployed an 1 1/2 in. attack line to the alpha side and into the lower level and performed extinguishment. Tower 1 secured utilities, laddered the residence, conducted primary and secondary searches, and assisted with opening up and overhaul operations. Engine 11 arrived and assisted with water supply operations. Fire was controlled in 14 minutes. Units operated on scene for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes with extensive overhaul operations and Fire Marshal response. Incident was scaled back to hold Co. 1 and Co. 6 and then eventually reduced to just Co. 1 units.

The Fire Marshal is still conducting their investigation and do not have a cause of the fire determined at this time.
