By NBVFD
April 4, 2024

At 1311, Area Box 626 was dispatched for the reported house fire with people trapped. Tower 1 and Engine 12 responded as part of the assignment. Chief 6 arrived on scene and found a two-story single family residence with a working fire in the basement and confirmed all occupants were out of the home.

Tower 1 arrived as first truck on the box and worked with Engine 61 providing support with ladders, extinguishment and overhaul. Engine 12 arrived on scene (2nd Engine) and secured Engine 62’s water supply. Engine 12 advanced their hose line to Division 1 with Squad 6 and checked for extension. Units returned to service around 1445 hours.

The NBVFD reminds everyone to check their smoke detectors to ensure they are in  working condition. Always remember to call 911 in the event of a fire and leave the house immediately.
