A major step in the restoration of our 1947 John Bean International pumper was reached this week.

We are pleased to report the cab and pump module are complete and have been bolted on the frame. The truck is ready to be transported to Tech 1 Auto for the mechanical work to begin.

Committee members met with Tommy Gilmartin, owner of Tech 1, on Friday evening, to discuss the timeline for the mechanical work and reassembly of the truck. While Tommy and his team are working on the mechanicals, Mike Torres and his team will finish the paint and body work on the rest of the truck.

Additional work to be completed includes: getting the rest of the chrome replated, and meeting with a graphics company to have the truck lettered and striped to reflect what it looked like when it was delivered.
