| The North Beach Volunteer Fire Department is excited to place Engine 12 back in service tonight. Engine 12 is a 2021 Pierce Enforcer Pumper. It boasts a 1500 GPM waterous pump with a 750 gallon water tank. It is equipped with a front and rear intake, 1800’ of supply line, 1650’ of various sized attack lines, and a multitude of other equipment. A battery powered Holmatro combination extrication tool is also part of the inventory.
Engine 12 has extensive safety features including a Haas system and a full airbag system throughout the apparatus. The Haas system alerts drivers using driving apps that an emergency vehicle is in the area.
The members and officers of Company 1 are very appreciative of having all apparatus in the firehouse 2015 or newer. We are thankful Calvert County allows us to always have the newest technology available to better serve the citizens.
A formal dedication ceremony is planned for a future date. |
