Company 1 was alerted for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Chesapeake Avenue and 1st Street in Chesapeake Beach. Squad 1, CCEMS PA201, CCEMS A218, Safety Officer 1A, Chief 1A, CCEMS PA205, and CALS Medic 20 responded.
Squad 1 and Safety 1A arrived to find a two vehicle collision involving a box truck and an SUV, two drivers, and no pedestrian involved. PA 205 was placed in service. CCEMS PA201 and Squad 1 concentrated on stabilizing the truck, removing the driver from the box truck and initiating treatment. CCEMS A218 concentrated on the second driver and transported that driver to CHMC with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the box truck was transported to CHMC by CCEMS PA201 in critical condition.
MSP Trooper 2 was in the area and landed, but was placed in service.
The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision. |
