| On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Calvert County Volunteer Fire-Rescue Association held its annual awards and recognition banquet. Two members from Company 1 who participate in the County’s High School Career and Technology Academy (CTA) were recognized for their achievements in the CTA program and service to the community. Senior Matthew Kaiser, who currently serves as a sergeant with the NBVFD, was recognized for achieving the highest GPA in the class, and recognized with the CCVFRA’s Dowell-Showalter Award for exceptional EMS service in the field. Senior Oliver Fox, also serving as a sergeant, was lauded as the Senior Fire Cadet of the Year. We are very proud of all the NBVFD members participating in the CTA Program and look forward to the bright future they bring to our department. |
