| Two Company 1 members made significant advances in their service capabilities this week, and we are proud to acknowledge those accomplishments.
Lieutenant Ryan Ortenzo successfully completed requirements to earn his Maryland Class B Driver’s License. Ryan invested approximately 40 hours of his personal time to accomplish this milestone. This will allow Ryan to move on to becoming a heavy apparatus operator.
FF Conner Kretzing successfully completed his 40-hour Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Course, allowing him to begin training as an ambulance and brush truck operator. Conner used his personal time as well to complete the course that was offered on consecutive days through the Calvert County Department of Emergency Services.
