Today, Company 1 hosted a joint drill with Company 5 (Dunkirk) on ladder placement and forcible entry techniques. While in the drill, Area box 609 was dispatched for the reported house on fire. Engine 12 (3rd due Engine), Squad 1 (Search Company), & Chief 1 responded with a total of 10 Volunteers. Company 5 units responded from Company 1.

Units from Company 6 (Huntingtown) arrived to find a one-story single family dwelling with fire showing. Engine 12 and Squad 1 staged per Command. One occupant was evaluated by A69. The Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced family.

Always remember to check your smoke detectors monthly to ensure they are in the correct working condition.
