 	<title>1 TRAPPED ON OLD BAYSIDE RD</title>

 <![CDATA[At 1418hrs Rescue Box 105 was sounded in the are of Old Bayside Road and F Street for the auto accident.&nbsp; Rescue 1(Lt.R.Whittington), Ambulance 19(EMT Davies), and Chief 1A(Devere) reponded to the call.&nbsp; Chief 1A arrived on location to find a pickup truck on its side with 1 patient trapped.&nbsp; Rescue 1 arrived on the scene, stabalized the vehicle, and extricated 1 patient by removing the roof of the vehicle.&nbsp; The patient was then handed over to EMS personnel and transported to a local hospital.&nbsp; Chief 1A had the 105 command....]]>

 	<title>ENGINE AND TOWER RUN DUNKIRK HOUSE FIRE</title>

 <![CDATA[At 1312hrs Area Box 503 was sounded for the working house on Chaneyville Rd.&nbsp; Engine 12(Hagan), Tower 1(Sgt.Crandell), Chief 1(Thrasher), and Chief 1B(Keller) responded on the run.&nbsp; Units from Dunkirk arrived to find a 2 story farm house with heavy smoke showing.&nbsp; Tower 1 arrived on the scene, threw ladders on side Alpha and Delta, and went inside to start opening up for the Engine crews.&nbsp; Engine 12 arrived 3rd due and laid the initial supply line to the fire ground.&nbsp; Evacuation tones were requested by command shortly after and defensive operations began.&nbsp; The Engine and Towers crew assisted with multiple operations including exterior ventilation, hose line operations, and ladder pipe operations.&nbsp;&nbsp;Chief 1 had operations, Chief 1B had water supply, and Chief 6(Morris) had the Dunkirk command.&nbsp;...]]>

 	<title>BARN FIRE IN DUNKIRK</title>

 <![CDATA[At approximately 1928 hours the North Beach VFD was alerted for a Barn Fire in the 5-01 Box, just off of Briscoes Turn Rd. E-12 (J. Crandell) and Tower 1 (Chief Thrasher) quickly responded to the scene.  First arriving units found a Large Barn just off the road to be fully involved and pushing smoke, fire, and embers across the roadway with patches of brush on fire in the surrounding woods. The crews from Engine 12 and Tower 1 immediately went to work assisting with hose operations alongside company 5 while E-12 itself became dedicated to water supply.  Once the fire was out, Tower 1 cleared. Engine 12 remained onscene and assisted company 5 with clean up. E-12 cleared the call around 21...]]>

 	<title>AUTO ACCIDENT WITH FIRE AND FATALITY</title>

 <![CDATA[At 0530hrs the North Beach Volunteers were alerted for an auto accident in Dunkirk's area involving fire and entrapment.  Rescue 1(Lt.Whittington),Ambulance 19(Jaskulski),Chief 1B(Keller),Chief 1(Thrasher) responded on the call.  Units from Dunkirk arrived on scene with 1 vehicle on its side fully involved with one patient ejected and another vehicle with 1 trapped and on fire.  Rescue 1 arrived and assisted Dunkirk units with extinguishing the fire on both vehicles.  The crew from Rescue 1 then started to extricate the trapped patient.  The crew assisted Squad 5 with removing all door and the roof.  The patient was pronounced on the scene by Paramedics shortly after.  Engine 12 and Chief 1A(Devere)handled the landing site for the ejected patient who was flown to a trauma cent...]]>

 <![CDATA[At approximately 1620 hours on March 1st of 2013, Units from Company 1 were alerted for a possible Kayaker in the water out in the Herring Bay near Herrington Harbor South in Anne Arundel County. Tower 1 (Sergeant J. Crandell), Chief 1, and Zodiac 1 (Captain J. Keller), &amp;amp; Ambulance 19 (H. Marnane) responded to the call. Tower 1 arrived onscene and worked with PM9 from AA to locate the Kayaker who was drifting in the Bay about 200 yards out and 300 yards south of Herrington Harbor. Tower 1&amp;acirc;&amp;euro;&amp;trade;s crew got to the Kayaker first who advised that he was ok and that two other kayakers that were with him were also safe and on shore at a residence not far from Albany Ave on Bay Ave. Command was advised and EMS units checked all patients. Units cleared the incident around 1655 hours....]]>

 	<title>AUTO ACCIDENT WITH FATALITY AND ENTRAPMENT</title>

 <![CDATA[At approximately 1330 hours, The North Beach Volunteers were
alerted for a Motor Vehicle Collision with subjects trapped in the 6-25 Box on
Bayside Rd in the area of Bristol Dr. Rescue 1 (J. Crandell), Ambulance 18 (M.
Charland), and Ambulance 19 along with Chiefs 1 and 1A responded quickly to the
call. First arriving units&nbsp; found an
offset head-on collision between a truck and a SUV leaving 2 subjects trapped
(1 in each vehicle). 1 priority patient was rapidly extricated from the truck.
Once onscene that patient was quickly placed into Ambulance 18 and personnel
from Squad 6 and Rescue 1 worked hard and fast together to extricate the
subject in the SUV.&nbsp; Extrication was tedious
due to the extent to damage to the vehicle. After taking&nbsp; the roof, doors, and posts, along with
cutting the driverâs seat itself, the patient was freed and immediately placed
into Ambulance 19 and received swift care and taken by Trooper Medevac to a
trauma facility. Units from company 1 operated onscene for approximately 1

 	<title>3 BACK TO BACK WATER RESCUES</title>

 <![CDATA[At 1800hrs Water Rescue Box 42-24 was sounded for a boat in distress and taking on water outside of Franklin Manor in Deale.&nbsp; Boat 1 under the command of Chief 1(Gibson) and 3 Firefighters headed that way.&nbsp; Boat was was cancelled by Anne Arundel County units as they were coming up on Franklin Manor and re routed to the 6-26 Box just outside of Neele Estates for a boat in distress that was calling a May Day over the VHF radio.&nbsp; Boat 1 headed that way encoutering extremely rough conditions and taking waves over the entire boat.&nbsp; Units from Company 6 who were staged on land gathered information that there were 2 adults and 1 child on the boat and they appeared to be in distress and not wearing PFD's.&nbsp; As the storm passed over Boat 1 was able to pick up speed and make it to the disabled sail boat.&nbsp; Boat 1 arrived at the sail boat and determined that all occupants were ok and escorted the sailboat back to shore.&nbsp; While Boat 1 was making their way back in they were flagged down by another boat that was drifting in the bay without engine power.&nbsp; Boat 1 rendered assistance to the disabled and towed it into shore.&nbsp; Great Job the the crew on Boat 1!
While the Boat crew was responding on these 3 rescue assignments Tower 1 responded to a Local Box in the first due and Station 1 maintained additional crews....]]>
