At 1840hrs. Rescue 1(Lt.Bennett), Engine 11(Smith), Ambulance 19(Keller), and Chief 1(Freesland) were alerted for a vehicle overturned on Route 261. While enroute supplements advised there was a vehicle overturned in the woods with 1 patient trapped. As units arrived crews were advised of a rapid fuel leak into the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Crews quickly went to work making there way down a ravine and into the woods to stabilize the vehicle and initiate patient care. Do to the rapid fuel leak into the vehicle and on the patient crews quickly removed the rear window of the vehicle and removed the patient from the hazard. A helicopter was requested due to mechanism of injury. Utilizing a stokes basket the pt was removed from the ravine and loaded into the Ambulance. Engine 11 set up a landing site for the MSP Helicopter. Rescue 1 remained on the scene for cleanup and cleared shortly after. Chief 1 had the command.
